Samirtech is a record of useful systems built, repaired and improved over time. These are the projects I return to when I want to learn something or make everyday technology more dependable.
Homelab
A quiet, low-power home lab for storage, media, backups and self-hosted services. The focus is reliability, sensible hardware and documentation rather than collecting machines for their own sake.
Backup and recovery
A continuing project to make family photos and important data recoverable, not merely copied. It covers TrueNAS replication, encrypted off-site storage, protected keys, restore testing and documented recovery procedures.
Linux workstation
A practical Fedora/KDE workstation configured for technical support, automation, development and daily work. I use scripts, shortcuts and small integrations to reduce repetitive tasks without hiding how the system works.
Self-hosted services
Docker, Caddy, local DNS and monitoring provide friendly HTTPS access to the services I actually use. Each service is treated as something to maintain, back up and recover—not just install once.
Automation and documentation
Hermes Agent, shell scripts and scheduled checks help turn maintenance into repeatable workflows. The goal is to leave behind notes and checks that are useful the next time something fails.
