About me
Hello, I’m Tahir
I’m a Senior Technical Support Engineer based in the West Midlands, UK. I troubleshoot operating systems, networks, databases, integrations and enterprise software, and I enjoy turning difficult problems into clear documentation.

Technology and homelab
I have been building and repairing computers since the Windows 3.1 era and have used Linux as my main desktop platform since 2022. My current setup includes Fedora with KDE, a Docker host, two TrueNAS systems, Proxmox experiments and encrypted off-site backups.
I document the homelab here because reliable infrastructure is less about collecting hardware and more about understanding failure, recovery and maintenance.
Privacy and Linux
I’m interested in practical privacy, open-source software and reducing unnecessary dependence on cloud services. I currently use Fedora, Docker and self-hosted services while keeping convenience and recoverability in balance.
